I just bought a 13" macbook, and want to use some of my dvd decrypter softwares from my ext. hardrive that i used with my pc (DVD shrink, ect..) they won't run on os x so i'm thinking of putting windows xp or vista on mac. will my usb ports work and will i be able to burn dvd's from windows with these programs just like i was from my PC laptop? I bought the more powerful mac of the 2 white one with 2.16 ghz and 120 hd w/superdrive.

Yes. Maybe try out VMware or Parallels with a virtual machine if you only need a couple apps.

You can definitely do it with Boot Camp. But I would wonder if VMware and parallels support CD/DVD burning. I know you can access the DVD drive to read, but I wasn't aware they could write too.
