Mmk. I have an old dual processor g4 running 10.4 with no connectivity on it, Id like to share preferably my wifi network or 3g/edge with it...over usb. Does anyone have a guide to doing this over USB, or some general suggestions? Ive got time to kill and a computer to make useful...lol

You can tether your 3G iphone to it using programs on Cydia. 3Proxy works, and there is one that installs into your settings menu called iPhone modem.

I know about tethering apps. The thing is, Im trying to turn an obsolete, (non networked computer) into a useful web browsing box at very least. Thus, I cant use any wifi based proxies etc....Looking for a USB tethering solution in OS X.

I think that even if you could get this to work (read: you can't) that it would be so impractical that it wouldn't be worth the trouble.
