iPod USB to headphone jack cable?

Hey guys.

I have an old USB to 3.5mm jack cable from an ipod shuffle.

Can I do anything else useful with it or it was really only meant for use with the ipod?

Yes, as the current supplied isn't enough to charge something like an iPod touch quickly enough. It is also specific to the model it was meant for.
