Has anyone had any luck with running Microsoft Media Center in Vista (Ultimate) WITH a tuner in VMWare / Parallels? I can't seem to get my Hauppauge Nova-t Stick to work in a virtual environment. Boot camp of course works perfectly.

I'm only interested in getting recordings to work, since I'm using my xbox 360 as an extender (which is working brilliantly with Vmware Fusion by the way).

XBOX 360 Media Extender with Vista on Parallels

I have a similar question. I just enabled my Boot Camp Vista image through Parallels and hoped to be able to share my pics via the media extender capability with the XBOX 360 but the Vista VM does not see the XBOX 360 when running in Parallels. Any advice on how to enable it?

I'm using Fusion, and if I recall correctly it just worked out of the box. I had first set up the extender in boot camp and when I started my boot camp partition in Fusion the xbox connected to it without any fuzz.

One thing though, I think you need your network set to "bridged" in order for the extender to see the Vista VM.

I've had no luck with the recording capabilities though :(
