How can I understand if my usb waterproof endoscope camera is detected by OSX El Capitan?
I verified this device is correctly detected by Windows XP and it works fine and package reports to work with OSX systems too.
I opened both Photo Booth and Image Capture but camera is not detected.
Suggestions? CD contains only .exe file for Windows and .apk files.

Try getting video through iMovie. I think I read some years ago that photobooth only worked with the included iSight camera.

Just before to run iMovie, I'd like to understand if OSX detects this device, that is if It's driver problem or camera detection. However iMovie doesn't see this usb camera.

No, I see only built-in camera.
How can I verify if OSX is not able to recognise the camera device? In Windows I could to verify it in device manager with question mark!

The "Apple" menu on the top left of the screen, select "about this Mac", then on "Overview" click "System report", and under "Hardware" there is the recognized usb devices
