USB3.0 supports Port Multiplier

As many users out there, our company has some of the eSATA enclosures with Port Multiplier

With the new rMB it seems we have to let it collecting dust. After searching high and low. I found this.

All of my eSATA boxes now works under USB3.0. No drivers or software

So just to be clear its a USB3.0 to eSATA adapter that supports Port Multiplying....

The title of the thread was rather confusing since all USB supported "Port Multipying" (it's called a USB hub)....

A device has ONE USB to many USB then call HUB, not port multiplier .
That is what I understand.

After i look at the title again! You are right...

It should be USB3 to eSATA adapter fully support Port Multiplier Ware

I'm also very interested in this product--have any of you done any speed tests? The USB 3 drive enclosures tend to be very flakey and I'm hoping this will let me resurrect my eSATA enclosures for use w/ my new iMac (w/ USB 3, but no eSATA, obviously).

Finally I test this adapter with a SSD 120GB HDD, i can get 269MB/s of out of it
and 3.5" 7200rpm about 82MB~110MB depend on the model

FYI... and just a warning to others.
I've contacted MacGurus about this and was told it would be problematic... "Not without errors." were the exact words from MacGurus.

Seeing as this thread was resurrected again,
Has anyone tried this in an environment running 24/7 or at least enough to know whether it is stable or not? Any random drops etc? Would be interested to have this attached to Mac mini server

Yes You can run 24/7 but you need to load this app

I have 3x of them.
As long as you connect the box to the USB adapter 1st before you connect to your MAC
Then it will work
If you do it other way around, then no drive will show up
