Just wanted to know if anyone has experience of the compatibility and work flow of using the iMac 27" (2011 dual Thunderbolt) ,as a display, with the new 2012 mac mini Thunderbolt. I am having issues with what type of display to buy and have returned the Apple Thunderbolt Display (ATD) due to a blue tint issue with them. I own a 2008 silver iMac 24" and am about to sell it but like the colour/saturation of the display.

I do really like the displays on the iMacs and can live with their calibration however the ATD is another storey.

Do the two devices just work with each other through a simple thunderbolt to thunderbolt cable and by using Target Display Mode ?? Has anyone done this and experienced any issues with the display such as lag or video signal problems.

Any help and comments greatly appreciated.

Erm, I am asking about peoples experience using the 27" iMac 2011 as a display with the 2012 Mac Mini through Thunderbolt !!!

Read your post, you better explain better next time, why add the 24" in your post, it is by no means clear you asked about the 27", much more the 24".

Why else would I say what I said?

Ok to clear this all up before this thread ends up where I don't want it to go, I own a 24" iMac which is being sold as I now have the new Mac Mini but no monitor as I returned a faulty ATD. My reference to the 24" iMac is relating to the quality of the display on the iMacs in general as opposed to my dismay with the ATD when you put the 2 alongside each other.

Now can we move on and does anyone out there have experience with the '2011 dual Thunderbolt iMac' being used as a display for the 2012 Thunderbolt Mac Mini.
