Last week, I posted soem instructions and files to make the GMail notifier icon look a lot better, and more like something "Google."

This week, I've got updated Adium menubar icons that ads color to the otherwise boring icon.

To update your icons:

1) Download and unarchive the icons.zip file I've attatched.
2) Find Adium in the finder. Control-click the icon, and select 'Show Package Content' and navigate to the 'Resources' folder.
3) Move the two icons from the zip file into the resources folder. When it asks if you'd like to replace the existing files, say 'Yes.'
4) Restart Adium.

You will not have some neater looking icons :)

Below is a screenshot, and the zip file.

Nice, but I think I prefer the Adium menu bar icon in black as it blends in better with the standard Apple ones like Airport, sound, time and date etc...

schweet. I needed some excitement in my menubar. It looks better than the ol' one.

Thanks, glad someone finds it useful!

Oh...just wait until I do those, too :p

I just like more color in the menu bar...the black is consistent and nice, but, things need to be livened up a bit lol

Yeah, looks pretty nice. Great work. Although I am still looking forward to see status states implemented in the menu bar for Adium. And it looks like we'll be getting lucky for 1.0 :)
Anyway did you make any other xtras?

^ Same here. What I'd love to see is my entire list of online context in the contextual menu of Adium's menubar icon.

So far these are the only icons/extras I've done. lol I wake up too early sometimes, and make them while I eat breakfast :D

You mean like iChat? I like that feature but it kinda gets lost when you have a bunch of saved status messages.

Looks pretty nice, have you uploaded it to the xtras page yet?
I usually make xtras for myself because I don't like the look of things and nobody else does it... so I have to do it myself. So far I have only done 4 xtras though, link is in my sig if you're interested.

Oh and count me in too for a black version of your EMD icon. :)

^ sweet - I didn't even know that site existed!

Nice gems!

I'll have to submit these there.

Haha, I thought everyone knew about it. I'll update my Mac Beginner's guide to reflect that there is a site like this.

Thanks, it's funny you mention the gems, they were my first ever xtra. I personally like my new status icons a lot better. All a matter of preference I guess.

It seems like we'll be able to install EMD icons easily with 1.0 just like the other xtras.
