Hi,
I am thinking about upgrading to a MacBook Pro and getting an AppleTV after MacWorld '09. I have started to rip my DVD's using Mac the Ripper (Ripit doesn't cut it yet), and I have been burning duplicate backup DVD's with Toast (which created a 4.3GB compressed DVD). I would like to encode with Handbrake in H.264 but my iBook is way to slow (20+ hours), so I am going to wait until I get a MBP.
My question is should I save the full DVD rips to use with Handbrake in the future or will the 4.3GB compressed DVD's give me the same quality through Handbrake with the AppleTV setting at 2000kbits/s?
Thanks!
