Did anyone else get the alert yesterday? With iOS 9.3, you can now make and receive calls with your AT&T cell number with data-only devices over LTE ... Number Sync was previously limited to WiFi. What this means is you can effectively use your cellular iPad (or cellular smart watch, if you own one) as you would your phone. Pretty amazing that you can effectively use a prepaid data plan to make another device double as your cell phone. This will be particularly useful when a 3G or LTE Apple Watch lands.

What other use cases do you see for this?

Nope, I haven't got that alert. My Air 2 is active on my AT&T account. You get an email or text about it?
