I have searched in the forums but not found an answer for this question:

I want to use my iPad for tethering with my laptop to use the data plan for iPad and then via bluetooth connect to my laptop for tethering.
Is this possible or have I missed something here?

Thanks

You need to jailbreak it and install MiWi, but it only does wifi tethering. I think PDANet will work via USB. Check with the guys in the iPad hack forum.

That would be too much of a good thing for Steve Jobs. Must keep AT&T happy. It was answered in a direct mail to Steve Jobs before the release. He said No.

What about transferring files via Bluetooth if downloaded first in iPad?

There has just been a new version of mywi released MyWi 4.0 it works very well with the iPad and it allows you to tether iPad 3G as well as wifi, gives you the option to tether via USB or it can turn ur iPad into a wireless box so u can connect wirelessly
