I've been offered a good deal on an M1 iPad Pro and still considering my options.
Have been using Mac OS for years (but not iOS). I never use Safari, much preferring FireFox especially for the choice of security add-ons such as Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin and HTPPS everywhere which are always active, and don't appear to have any adverse affect on my web browsing speeds.
I understand that Privacy Badger and uBlock Origin are not available for iOS. If I were to solely use FFox for web browsing, what are recommended lightweight add-on alternatives to the two I've mentioned in order to prevent trackers and efficiently block ads and other annoying pop-ups? Or does the latest iOS incorporate basic features to eliminate ads and prevent trackers?
What alternative web browser could be considered very secure with or without additional add-ons?

Safari, aside the open source issue, is a huge contender for iOS, privacy wise. It follows the ‘every browser is the same’ method of fingerprint protection, on top of private relay. All the Firefox add ins are great, but a lot of the time you’re actually creating a fingerprint for yourself. Safari follows the tor browser model more closely. Everyone has the same browser so no one can be individualised. This has been somewhat dampened by the fact you can now have safari addons though.

I use Safari with AdBlock Pro, and it’s an excellent ad-blocker/anti-tracker. On PC and Android I use UBlock Origin. Unfortunately with iOS no other browser will have the same performance potential as Safari, which is why I stick with Safari on iOS.
