How can this be done? i did a restore on my phone and now all i'm getting is a "connect to itunes" message? i want to sell it but just need to get it back to the home screen and want to make sure all my info is off of the phone.

Once restored it's all gone, you can put your sim card in again to activate and check again, but you will need to restore again to deactivate it.
