Has anyone used a friends computer to jb? I don't have windows, but can i follow the steps as necessary and just jb on a PC that will only be used to jb the 6+? Thanks

Yes, just make sure he has the latest itunes installed on it before you JB.
Then you can sync with your mac with no probs after.
The JB only takes a few minutes and you can do it on any windows computer. Doesn't have to be the one you're using to sync.

Yep ... with the caveat that he:

- turn off passcode lock
- turn on airplane mode
- turn off find my iPhone

I only point that out because I did mine on a PC, and it was so strange, I turned on airplane mode and turned off the passcode lock but forgot to turn off my find my phone, and be it a bug or a known issue, it did a full restore and I couldn't stop it in time. Weird. Did it over again with the above 3 steps, no issues on 2 iPhone 6s. LOL

Great reminders for the op.
Let us know how you made out.

I have an old 2008 black MB that I installed bootcamp and Windows XP on just so I could finally JB my phone and iPad. It worked perfectly.

I had been thinking of buying the $199 laptop that was on sale at BestBuy today but decided to try bootcamp and XP. Glad I did because I saved that money and was still able to JB my devices.
