Used 10.5 vs New 2018 iPad

I’ve looked at the new pros and they are beautiful devices but too expensive for me at the moment. I use an iPad as a 3rd device after my phone and iMac. Mostly reading news, texts and minor photo editing in Lightroom.
Currently I can get a new 128GB 2018 iPad for $329 (WiFi only). There will be more sales this Xmas season with similar prices.
However, on eBay I can find used 10.5” pro with keyboard, pencil, 256GB and cellular in the $600 range. I can afford $600.
I’m looking for advice in either direction. I have a feeling I would use the pro more for photos but having never used one I don’t know for sure. One thing is for sure, I prefer the iPad over the iPhone. Any advice is welcomed.

The 10.5 deal, hands down. As long as the iPad is in great shape and everything works, the $600 deal is awesome.

We shall see if I can snap up one of these deals. I have the feeling that the price on used Pros from last year is going to continue to drop a bit over time.

I’d go with the new (not used) cheaper device with warranty if both options met my needs.

I say go with the 10.5 Pro used on eBay. However I’m biased because I currently have a used 10.5 256GB with Apple Pencil, Apple Smart Keyboard, Back Cover, and Apple Smart Cover listed on eBay
