Used 13" 2.4 or New 13" MPB? Will resell in a year.

Im still waiting for a redesign, but I can't wait due to the fact my Powerbook just crapped out. Im looking for a laptop to fill in the gap and resell when a redesign comes out most likely next year.

Right now I have a guy willing to sell me his 5 month old 13" 2.4 MBP for $900. My other option is buying is spending the extra $300+ for a new 13".

Should i just spend the extra for the better resell value next year or save some cash? Opinions?

Since you're punting, save money now but $900 doesn't seem like that good of a deal. Same SKU is $930 via Apple refurbished and comes with a 1 year warranty vs the 7 months you'd have buying the used one. Being able to add AppleCare will be a plus come resell time, so I'd buy it from Apple first or get Mr used down into the low $800s.
