Hey guys,

So I was checking out my iMac that I bought yesterday from CL and it has a slight yellow tint issue. Would Apple still service the machine if it's not under my name? It is showing up as registered, and the warranty will last until Dec 2010. How would you guys go about this?

iMac 21.5" 1TB 4GB Ram ATI Radeon 4670

Thanks!

Alvin

Take it to an Apple Store (having made a Genius appointment). The warrantee is on the machine, regardless of owner.

impossible!

They all have a yellow tint or grey bars, some more some hardly noticeable but even if you dont see it, its there somehow.
I dont think it will ever get fixed, this is something we have to live with, end of story.

It's a fault with the machine. So if it's yellow, take it to a service centre or retail store. If they agree that it is a fault with the screen, they'll replace it. I don't know if they'll replace out of warranty, but all 27 inch iMacs are currently less than a year old.

So if you have it, no biggy...
