So I am getting an iPhone 12 mini as my work phone. But for my main phone I want to replace my god awful iPhone 7 I got back in August brand new.

i was browsing through facebook marketplace and found an unlocked X for $200. But then the xr is $499($16 monthly with Verizon)

i know xr is a higher generation but which would you do. The size is irrelevant.
Once I trade in my iPhone 7 my xr should be around 268.

so used x or new xr

The x has a higher res screen. Oled. But slower.

As someone who is currently using an iPhone X, I’d highly recommend the iPhone 11 at its new price over it. The processing power and camera are massive upgrades over the iPhone X. I’d surely do a 1 for 1 swap if I could. Meanwhile, avoid the Xr entirely as it is outdated.

Yeah if there is only a few hundred bucks difference may as well get the iPhone 12. It doesnt make sense to overpay for old hardware.
