I'm Finally going to dip my Windows-only toe in the water. Any advice on checking out a mac once I receive it? Are there good diagnostic options to validate the hardware is 100%?

Thanks!

Everything except the current Macs come with system discs that have a diagnostic program on disc 2. Boot holding down the D key to run. That will check out the basics. Then burn a DVD to check out the drive.

The current Macs allow this as well without using discs. Just reboot holding down D key to access the Apple Hardware Test application.
