I just purchased a used Mac mini on ebay to replace my aging 10 year old iMac. I purchased a mid 2010 Mac mini with 2.4 GHz processor, 4 GB ram and 320 GB hard drive. The Mac has a 30 day return guarantee. I'd like to know how to confirm all is well with this Mac. Of course I'll confirm all ports. I'll run disk utility to see if the hard drive is okay. What else should I do?

Here's what I would try

Power down the computer.
Press the power button, and immediately press the "d" key and hold until you see a diagnostic program start.
Once it is loaded up run a few simple tests, then perform a thorough test.
This will test all functions, circuit boards, etc., etc.

Hope this helps
