So I am in the lookout for a used Mac Pro. I am not a computer minded person by any means.

I need a computer and can't wait any longer for the Mac Mini to refresh. I know the mac Pro will more than be adequate for my needs, but I do not want an Imac (can't stand the glossy screen). I have already got a 26' matte screen and all the other necessities ... keyboard, mouse etc ...

I am in the military and all the Ebay sellers I have contacted will not ship to my verified PayPal address here in Japan (APO).

I was wondering if anyone could recommend an online store that sells quality used mac pro's ... at a reasonable price.

I am looking for a 2-3 year old model.
I will be using it for school, photoshop, lightroom, web surfing, skype ... So I definitley do not need a high end MP. Looking to spend about $1,000 tops.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Matt

Don't think you'll find a MP for that price.

Given your applications/use I'd recommend a refurb MBP/MBA direct from Apple.

$1000 is absolutely no problem. Several 1,1 machines on ebay for that price right now.

This may be true, but the 1,1's are 4-5 years old.

OP, if you can't wait for the Mini refresh (and it sounds like you want a Mini), then buy a new (or and Apple refurb) one now. The rule of thumb is if you can wait for the refresh, then wait. If you can't, then don't.
