Hello,

I was offered the chance to buy a used MacBook Air M1 for a good price.
The computer is mint with no dents, marks or scratches.
But the battery already has 110 cycles and is currently at 97% of battery health.
The 97 is a good health I believe, but the 110 cycles have me second guessing the purchase decision.
I fear it might already be to much use on the battery and that it might not have much life left and start to degrade on me if I buy the computer.

What are your thoughts on this?
Should I buy it? Or is it better to steer clear and look for one with fewer cycles?

Thank you for your help.
Best wishes!

there
I will screen shoot my M1 air....

this is my MacBook Air I use everyday on battery and keep the plug in all the time:
I ran this for 2 football matches and still had 78% left yesterday, I think 4 hours on battery.

I hoped this helped!

Depends on the price!

That cycle count isn't bad at all. The expected cycle count is 1,000 or 80% battery health.

See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253011415 and

Users describe their cycle counts and health %.

Given your concern, however, it might be worth peace of mind to spend a few hundred dollars more on a new M1 MBA, say, at an upcoming Black Friday sale. Or, look at Apple's refurbished offerings for which you get a regular Apple warranty and can even add Apple Care if you wish.

97% of original capacity after 110 cycles looks good.
If everything else suits you and the price is right...
... might be worth the buy.
