I have one which takes pictures of work receipts, allows me to dictate what its for and then emails it to my admin.
But more basically, I have one that I use in widget form to connect my AirPods to the device where I trigger the shortcut. Basic, but invaluable. Saves me having to take several additional steps to do the same thing.
I’m a weather fan, so I have another shortcut that allows me to report how much snow has fallen to the National Weather Service via Twitter, again using dictation.
On a related front, I use scenes in HomeKit and Siri to turn off my Hue lights downstairs and turn on the lamp next to my bed simply by saying “Good night” to my HomePod.
My favorite new shortcut is to order my Starbucks drink. I never thought Starbucks would implement Siri intents (the connection between the app and Siri) to allow me to do this (as Starbucks and other retailers want you to go to their apps leading to possible impulse purchases), but they did.
There are many, many more things you can do with Shortcuts. The best of them are things that automate repetitive things you do all the time.
