just curious what some of your most usual or favorite shortcuts are? I don’t have many but would love to unlock some of that potential. Thank you.

I have one which takes pictures of work receipts, allows me to dictate what its for and then emails it to my admin.

But more basically, I have one that I use in widget form to connect my AirPods to the device where I trigger the shortcut. Basic, but invaluable. Saves me having to take several additional steps to do the same thing.

I’m a weather fan, so I have another shortcut that allows me to report how much snow has fallen to the National Weather Service via Twitter, again using dictation.

On a related front, I use scenes in HomeKit and Siri to turn off my Hue lights downstairs and turn on the lamp next to my bed simply by saying “Good night” to my HomePod.

My favorite new shortcut is to order my Starbucks drink. I never thought Starbucks would implement Siri intents (the connection between the app and Siri) to allow me to do this (as Starbucks and other retailers want you to go to their apps leading to possible impulse purchases), but they did.

There are many, many more things you can do with Shortcuts. The best of them are things that automate repetitive things you do all the time.

I’d love to know how I can get my hands on the pics of work receipts. I travel quite a bit for my job, and this might be very useful for me when it comes time to turn in pics/PDFs of my receipts.

Also, the Airpods one.. if you wouldn’t mind sharing, some how. Thanks!

I've got some i've downloaded from elsewhere to tidy up photos etc. One will identify screenshots and let you delete all the ones you select in one go, another lets you delete photos in one go. I've got one that shows me my playlists and lets me choose one to start playing, one that texts my mum to say we're leaving the house so she knows when we will be arriving to drop my daughter off in a morning, one that lists upcoming calendar entries and you choose one then it gives directions in Apple Maps to the location and finally one that if i need to pick up my wife on the way home from work it works out the directions to her office, how long it will take and then texts her to let her know when i will be there.

That last one was one i downloaded then i edited to make it work how i needed it to adding a few steps in.

I stopped using the Shortcuts app when Automations never worked, but I did try to set up automations to turn WiFi off when I left home and turn it back on when I got back. It would have been useful.
