hi,
I was a long term Windows user. Now loving Mac, with a few quirks that catch me out. User problems no doubt. Please any suggestions on

1. Frequently I want to enable or disable the 'Hide/show the menu bar' (the auto hide is unsuitable for my needs).
Please advise how I can make an instant shortcut for this setting?
On Windows, this type of config change would be stored in Windows Registry, and could be easily applied on/off using a registry key.

2. On Windows if I have 5 Word Documents open, I could access them by either using Alt + Tab, or they'd be on the task bar.
On Mac how can I simply switch between the 5 Word documents?
If I click and hold the Word icon on the dock, it shows the 5 documents. Please what does the circle or tick mean?

3. On Windows the keyboard had a Page Up/Down which scrolled the page within any app. On the Mac Air it seems different keys provide that function or keys don't work e.g. fn + up/down arrow. It's not always the same across apps. Please advise if other keys should be used?

Thank you

Command+~ (really it’s the back-tick key which has the tilde above it. Can’t find the back-tick on iPhone keyboard)

You have to set the menu bar to be hidden and then you can use Fn+Control+F2 to temporarily show the menu bar.

I use an app called Hyperdock... it does exactly what you suggest:

Once it's installed, just hover your mouse pointer over the app icon in the dock and you can see all of the open windows associated with that app. You can click on any of the windows to open that instance, and you can also close that instance directly from the Hyperdock popup (click the X in the top left corner of the screen image).

Excellent @Bigwaff Thank you

This works great for Office apps.

I assumed it would work for everything and found it doesn't do TextEdit files. If you know of any other shortcut for other apps that would be great.

Thanks for the suggestion - is if only for some machines? On my machine those keys cause the current app to fail. A small circle display shows that it's working/doing something, then the app doesn't respond and I choose Force Quit.
