So I have this video, its 640x480, but don't want to make a 320x240 version just for my ipod, will the 640x480 show everything, I know it works, but will it show the whole screen? I am guessing yes because its 2x EXACTLY the size, I just want a sharper image on my iPod, and don't care about space, thanks.

If it doesn't work try putting it through Handbrake and select the "Insert iPod Atom" option.

Yes it will work considering the Movies and TV shows you buy off iTunes is 640x480, there is no reason your video won't work. Just make sure it's encoded in an iPod compatible format.

I've ripped a lot of films and TV shows from DVDs - for iPod so long as it's less than 640 horizontally then you'll be fine. Though I think early 5G ipods were a little more limited (though it might be more bitrate than resolution).
