Sooo… question…

I have both the 67W and 97W charging brick that I use with my 14” MBP

Sometimes it feels like the battery dissipates quicker with similar use cases when I use the 97w brick to charge

Wondering if the quick charge using a more powerful brick relates to a quicker dissipation of the battery?

Also, is there any other impact on battery using the larger charging brick? I normally charge when the battery gets to ~20%, and with the “optimise battery charging” enabled on my MBP

Thoughts?

In theory faster charging reduces battery longevity. Nowadays, however, with the smart charging profiles (e.g. charge rate is tapered off) this is not really worth worrying about. Just creates long discussion threads in tech forums. Like discussing oil in car forums.

There is no correlation between fast charging, regular charging, or slow charging and the discharge rate. The discharge rate is strictly determined by your system usage.
