Alright, I've got another curly one for you guys with my weird ass setup lmao
I'm using a 2010 27in iMac as a daily driver for uni, accounting, etc., connected to a second 27in monitor. I also have a PC for gaming, 3D modelling, etc. which I use the iMac as a screen for (alongside the second monitor which auto switches).
At the moment I have to physically unplug the monitor and plug in the PC to my iMac to switch them/activate target display mode. It's a PITA. I'm looking at a bidirectional displayport switch - does anyone here have experience using one of these in a situation like this? My concerns are it may interfere with the displayport signal to the iMac, and it won't be detected by the iMac (given how finicky these things are), and would the displayport switch get confused switching input/output direction every time I pressed the button?
