I plan on using a mini as my "workstation." I'm in the medical field (consulting). Most of the apps and/or programs I need are web based. The one's that aren't, like general bookkeeping, office suite, etc. can either be run on Mac or I'll just run windows if I need to. I've been researching this stuff for months. Put in your time and research to see if it meets your needs.
I'm seeing more and more businesses running macs. The one thing that I really like from a business standpoint is that I have access to several Apple stores (within 25mile radius) to get service from. Even if I have to make an appt. at least I can speak with someone face to face.
Time is money brother. I've already burned up enough of that calling overseas to let Dell tech support know that my motherboard failed on me (two separate times-brand new replacements each time). I don't want to spend hours on the phone having someone tell me...push in the power button, hold the power button, what color display is on the button, unplug it, plug it back in, is the fan running, did it beep....
"It's toast my friend."
