Hi,

I want to use my dingy old MacBook Pro as a wireless AP for the local network that my apartment building has. This network has a central DHCP server with subnet 192.168.0.0/24, but if I enable internet sharing via System Preferences the MBP creates a double NAT with subnet 192.168.2.0/24. How do I get the MBP to bridge the DHCP server from the network while bridging the connection from ethernet to WiFi?

I do own macOS Server, if that helps. It does seem to have a DHCP server feature that I could mess around with.

Seems like it should work.

  1. Share your connection from Ethernet
  2. Click on WiFi Options from setup page and configure internet shared network
