Using a microsdhc card with my Note2

I just put a 16gb microsdhc card in my Note2. It is at least 3 yrs old.

1. Is there a way to format it in the Note2?
2. Is there a way to check its speed? It doesn't specify on the card.
3. How do you choose to record photos and videos to either internal memory or the card?

1. Settings -> Storage -> scroll down to Format SD card
2. What does the card say? Look up the name and model of whatever is written on the card.
3. Camera -> Settings -> Scroll down to Storage and change to Memory card. Do this for both photo and video modes.
