Using a single monitor instead of dual

My friend just messaged to say he is considering jumping on the new iMac as it will be the last on intel and wants to avoid ARM for the first few iterations. Anyway, he is on a Mac Mini with dual screens but is not sure he could drop back into a single monitor as in the iMac.

If he does buy the iMac the monitors will be moved to a PC, so just wanted to ask for those that have been there and moved from dual to single monitor. Was it difficult for you? Any tips on the transition I can pass on before he pushes the buy button?

The answer to that question is so unique to every single person that it's impossible to answer it for him. Some will make do with just one monitor. Others will not. It depends on so many different factors that he is the only one capable of knowing whether or not he will be able to go back to a single-monitor setup or not.
