This seems to be a new problam, as I KNOW I have used my USB floppy drive in Virtual PC before.

I am using an application in Virtual PC (UUGGHHHH!!) which must access the floppy drive to save a file. It cannot access a shared folder version of the floppy media. It must be the A: drive. I have tried all sorts of things for getting the floppy to mount as an A: disk, but to no avail, even though it always did about this time last year (I have reinstalled since then).

Maybe there is a setting or something I am missing.

I am using Virtual PC 7.0 on a Powerbook 17" 1ghz running 10.4.7. The floppy drive is some old generic floppy. It will mount fine under osx, but VPC just will not see it.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as someone on the other end is desperately waiting for the files that must be written to floppy!

Thanks!

:) Sam

I suffered many problems when using viture pc and haven't got a right solution. The best way to solve this problem is to use a pc as I do. Really sad.
I also hoping someone can help!

Floppies in VPC

Yeah, VPC is about the most crap piece of software ever, but I guess it gets me by when I quickly need to do something in windows.

I ended up being able to create a virtual floppy disk image and used that, but that's so dumb.
