Hello,

I would like to know if can keep 1 AirPod Pro in my pocket without the case and use it only when making and receiving calls?
Will my phone/watch still ring with paired AirPod in my pocket?
Any other potential problems with this scenario?
Waiting on some reply’s before I click buy.

Thank You

I wouldn't ever put an Airpods pro in my pocket without the case cuz I'd forget it and end up damaging it or washing it. That and the pocket lint will get all over the earbud part that is supposed to stay clean so it can grip your inner ear.

I have my airpods connected to my phone all day and my phone still rings. Though, I have my phone on silent and no vibrate. I rely on my watch to tell me if I'm getting a call.

You’re right about the pocket lint I don’t want that stuff in my ear LOL. I’ll keep them in the case.

There are neck straps you can purchase for under $10 on Amazon. The AirPods attach at the ends and of course hang around your neck. Most of the neck straps I’ve seen are about 10-12 inches long. You can hide it under your shirt and the AirPods can be hidden under the front of the shirt but easily accessible for a phone call (As long as you’re not buttoned at the collar, like wearing a necktie). So if you don’t want your AirPods to be dangling in the breeze and definitely not jammed in your pocket, take a look at these straps. Of course you’ll have to remove them from the strap to charge them. This takes about 30 seconds.

This can be an issue. At some point, they will disconnect from the device, and without the case, you cannot get them connected again. I've tried this a few times. I wear them - leave the case at home - I put them in my pocket when say going into a workout for a few hours. Come out - and they will not respond and they cannot be detected until the case is used again.

Also - just my experience - but my Galaxy buds will power down after a certain amount of time when they are detected out of the ear. My APP's seem to use power all the time whether in my ears or sitting on a table out of case etc and will die in 4-5 hours regardless. My Galaxy bids will save the battery when not in use for some time.
