Even though I'm thinking about abandoning Tidal and just keeping my Apple Music account, I'm still sorting that out. As I do have a headphone amplifier/DAC and wired headphones.

However, as I use my AirPods Max with my M1 MacMini I am wondering what Tidal Streaming quality to choose. Obviously the higher end streaming sampling is a waste/overkill via BlueTooth. So, Tidal users, how "low" should I go. "Hifi Lossless CD Quality"? Or even lower to "Normal"?

Aside from this, I thought I saw a comment on these threads that they thought the APM's sounded better with Apple Music than Tidal. I've been flipping between them to see if I could find one, better than the other with the APM's.

Anyone out their using Tidal with the APM's? If so what streaming quality do you recommend I dial in?

So if you are using Bluetooth there is no point in streaming at hi-res or lossless, i mean i do anyway, but technically it's just not possible.

as for a wired connection, Apple confirmed that the airpods max does indeed go up to 24-bit lossless.

Just for fun I'll try a wired connection. Thanks for the answer to my question!
