I'm getting used to my new AirPods Pros and enjoy the comfort and sound quality, and the ease of using them with any of my Apple devices.
However I don't really understand how to control the AirPods when I'm using them with my iMac, for example to listen to music from my Music (formerly iTunes) app. The functionality that can be controlled from an iPhone or iPad (turning on or off the noise cancellation, or checking battery life status) seems to be unavailable on the iMac. Is that correct?
It does seem like Apple is providing greater control over these kinds of features for users of the iOS devices, much more so than desktop or laptop users, but it could be that I'm simply missing something. The AirPods roundup here on Macrumors doesn't seem to say anything about controlling the AirPods from a computer running macOS.
