Using another mac's processing power

Hey everyone!

My parents are moving to a different country and I'm starting to set up as much as I can so they find it an easy transition without me there all the time

So far they used an iPad and 2 iPhones with windows computers but now I've decided to give them my mid-2012 MBPr and I'll buy myself a rumoured 12-inch MBA or if benchmarks prove to be disappointing I'll be getting another MBPr.

I have an iMac at home and my main use for it is essentially all the photography, videography and development software in Creative Cloud. So far I could use my MBPr for the majority of those tasks but its getting slow.

My question is: Can I somehow use my iMac's processing power (through OS X server or another way) to work on my macbook on the go (assuming I have access to the internet of course) ?

If so then I'll opt to get a MBA over the MBPr.
The main reasoning behind this idea is NVIDIA GRID (which even though experimental, has worked fine for me) but I really don't wanna have to choose my second CC machine, to be NVIDIA GRID.

No, OS X it not set up for any sort of distributed computing.

OS X used to include its own distributed computation framework called Xgrid, but it was discontinued few years ago. However, OS X is UNIX, so most other distributed frameworks can be easily set up for it.

But your question is about distributed computing in the context of Creative Cloud, which is an entirely different thing whatsoever. The answer is a firm "no" unless Adobe has some sort of special support for things like these. Most you can do is use a remote desktop interface to work on your iMac while you are on the go.
