I been using my iPhone X for four weeks now. I was wondering if anyone else feels weird when using another iPhone now. Like the bezels on the older iPhones look so weird. And I am so use to the gestures, that I keep swiping up to exist an App, and end up opening control centre. Is this just me, or is this normal?

It’s normal, home button feels strange, you can’t swipe on to close, no faceid. I think most X users feel this way too.

I totally agree with you and I always think to myself "Was my old iPhone 6 that I switched from really this small with large bezels?"

OP, what you have experienced is normal. In the short time you have been using the iPhone X, you have developed mental and physical memory usage for the device. Changing to something different, even for a short time, will throw the proverbial monkey wrench into your electronic usage world.

That's true, but whats incredible is they can practically wipe away 10 years of habits in just a couple of hours to days for me.

Agreed. It's Simply an adjustment from one piece of technology that someone has been subjected to for so long to another piece of technology that has changes due to every day single uses with muscle memory. It's just a matter of adaptation.

Agreed. I am still on the fence about keep vs. return, but using my iPhone 7 some has made me realize that going back would be very strange. This is hard to explain, but in a way the iPhone X in many ways seems just disappear as a device. With previous phones, I always knew I was using a thing, an object. The X often seems like it's not there. It's a little like the difference between a wall and a window, or a closed door that has to be opened vs. walking through a cased opening. And yeah, I know that sounds wacky...

i have been using it for over a week but switching with my 6. Here is what I have noticed:
1) I prefer the bigger screen of the X
2) FaceID is better than touchid (at least on my launch day 6)
3) getting used to the new gestures took a minute or two - no big deal
4) I now notice the lag on my 6 (I am on 10.3.3) but never noticed it before trying the X
5) the 6 is a little easier to manage one handed but the X is fine in one hand

I don't have any issues going between devices and getting gestures confused etc but I do like the implementation on the X.

Because of the price of the X and it's all glass body I am much more cautious with it than my 6. Not sure if this will reduce over time but it is annoying.

When I go back to my 6S, it definitely feels weird. It feels much older, the screen isn’t as nice, and even the aluminum back feels less premium. Sometimes I do attempt the new X gestures on my 6S, but I quickly remember to adjust.

It's definitely an adjustment. I try to use gestures all the time with my iPad Pro. Hoping for the removal of the home button there next year.

Laughing. Glad I'm not the only one. :D
