I use an Apple Cinema display as a second display on my iMac so I can double the monitor space and move less important work to the Cinema Display. It has worked great for a couple of years and then today, all of a sudden, the image went to black on the Cinema Display. Everything was still okay on my iMac monitor. It appears the files and open windows that were on the Cinema Display are still open and it looks like I can move the cursor to the second display, but of course I cannot see anything.
I have tried unplugging everything, restarting, powering down, everything I can think of. I even replaced the current ColorSync preferences for the Cinema Display with a back up copy and that did not work.
Any suggestions? The power button on the Apple Cinema Display shows it is still powered up but I cannot seem to turn the power to that monitor off without unplugging everything.
