Using Apple Watch 7 with iPhone 7 Plus. Problems?

I just ordered my first Apple Watch. But, I’m still using an iPhone 7 Plus. Technically, it should work, but I would like to know if I could expect slowness or instability by using an older phone.

please let me know what might happen with this combination, or should I just buy an iPhone 13 for a better experience.

I also have the 7+ and an Apple Watch 6 (7 on order) and I don’t think you’ll have any issues as the iOS will be the same. I absolutely love the AW6 and it was my first one and I’m sure you will love the AW7.

I have iPhone 6S plus with an Apple Watch S6. No problems whatsoever. You should be ok as long as your phone updates to the latest iOS.
