Hello,
How are you?
I have a new mac that's from school
My ICT Integrators have blocked photoshop and pages!
Can you believe that? I even asked to unblock it and they said no. They've also blocked so many apps and things and they weren't to stop us from messing with our computers, well most things at least.
Can somebody please guide me or tell me a way to unblock apps on my mac, please?

Thanks,
Dylan

Don't. Just don't.

It's not your computer. It's theirs. If you try to circumnavigate their security then you put everyone at risk.

And yes, I can totally believe this and I wholeheartedly agree with their decision.

In addition there's a chance they have monitoring on and will detect unauthorized software and yank it away from you.

You want to use your own apps? Buy your own Mac.

1. Buy your own Mac.
2. Keep your school, work and personal lives separate.

I had to endure government-issued ThinkPads in secondary school with the Internet, BIOS and software locked down. You can too.

[Curmudgeon]Back in my day, we didn't have computers. We had to use pencil and paper which we had to purchase on our own dime.[\Curmudgeon]

IT have their reasons for locking down/blocking certain apps from computers they issue. Sometimes it's due to security, but mostly because they like ONE standard which makes fixing things a lot easier for them. When you're dealing with thousands of computers, individuality makes troubleshooting a lot harder.

If you can afford Adobe Apps, your own can afford a computer.

I am in IT and we manage users apps, installs and downloads.
We use a MDM and a MIM content cloud filter to comply with CIPA.
You would be surprised to hear that users want all kinds of apps / downloaded programs installed.

For us, it's a nightmare trying to troubleshoot computers when users have installed all kinds of programs, apps, and malware from their emails.
