Using Car Stereo Buttons to Control iPhone?

So, I bought a new car stereo in September with a AUX slot so I could listen to music on my iPhone.

That works great, for the most part, but I can't use the buttons on the stereo to control things. Only thing that works is the volume knob.

Is there something I could buy to be able to use the next track/previous track controls... without buying a new stereo?

You bought a cheap ass stereo, you're not going to get all of the cool features. There's nothing you can do besides buy a better one.

Yeah Alpine sell decent iPod and iPhone friendly head units you should have bought one of them.

The guy in the shop told me its nowhere near as good as a fullspeed headunit, but it does the trick
