Hello all,

A total  newbie here. I just wanted to know if I am able to burn dvds on my ibook g3. I have os 9 which I usually run and os x 10.0.4 (horrible). 640mb, 500mz. Also, how do I upgrade to a more recent version of os x? And which one is good for the price, (or possibly free)

Thanks for any help

Well you can probably buy 10.3 or earlier on ebay. You'll probably need an external firewire dvd burner and buy Toast or Popcorn to burn dvds.

how do you "manual" add the dvd drive if it isn't intially supported by the os? i thought i have seen a couple of posts on running a certain program that will allow you to add drives, etc. thanks.

edit: i think i may have found it; patchburn - does that sound right?
