I have jsut bought a DVD recoder (JVC DR-M1SLE) and found that no matter what format (-R/-RW) I burn the DVDs in they will not play in my Imac with Superdrive. Can anyone help me?

Probably not. My superdrive in my 800 iMac sucks. Works for some things; does not for others. Crapshoot for me.

i thought all superdrives were the same... so this is not a software issue?

Maybe it's the JVC that's the problem. Will the DVDs burned with the JVC work in regular DVD players?

I think mine was one of the first to be put in an iMac...? My SD will allow me to backup all my music, however, it will not mount after it is taken out and put back in. The same dvd will mount in my iBook and windows machine. I don't know why and neither does anyone else.
