Using external iTunes library?

Hey guys,

How would I go about playing an iTuns library stored on my external hard drive with Big Sur?

Use File - Import and your good.

I can't seem to find that option? Within File - Library, there is only the option to export and not import?

First Close the music app

Then hold down the ‘option key” while clicking on the Music APP icon to open Music - you should get a window that says “choose library” then browse to the iTunes library on the external disk / drive and double click on that iTunes library.itl file and it should import and create a new music library with all the iTunes info - playlists, play counts etc.

Thanks @mikzn , I searched a little harder after my last post and realised the option key was what I needed to press!
