Using Fake APN

Hey,

What is this fake APN thing? I blocked data by calling AT&T, but I guess I should block it on my end too. Just visit the website on the jailbroken phone, over wifi, and hit disable? Thanks

Yeah I know the site. My phone is a 2G unlocked and jailbroken, just visit on wifi and boom?

Pretty much.
Go to the middle of the site on your iphone and click continue
Then select Disable Data (FakeAPN) and go thru the process.

this is my first iphone and i'm using this fake apn and have incurred no data charges. still shows 0 bytes for cellular data.

i also have received one bill so far and confirmed no data charges.

That's pretty much how I activated mine. Get a regular phone, call AT&T w/ that sim. Then JB/hacktivate, then put this sim into the iPhone.

i'm with fido up in canada and all i did was put in my existing sim into the iphone and plugged it in and started itunes. i prob setup my wifi connection first but i'm not sure now.
