Other Using family upgrade for a new XS - locked to eSIM?

So I just used my wife’s upgrade (she just wanted my iPhone X) to get an XS Max. This was through AT&T Next and will be picked up in store - because of the new eSIM, will that be locked to her number requiring me to call AT&T, or should I just be able to swap the physical sim like normal?

You are good to go as is.
The eSIM feature has not even been activated yet.
It's coming in a future software update later so says apple.
