Since i bought my iMac, i hardly ever use my old MacBook Pro anymore. A few weeks ago, i locked it via Find My Mac so no one could log in to it. However, when i started it up today, it asked for a alphanumeric password instead of the usual 4 digit one. I tried the one i thought it would be, but for some reason the letters wouldn't work when i typed them...only numbers. not sure what caused that, but eventually it made me wait 60 minutes to try it again. Now, when the 60 minutes is up, it keeps wanting automatically resetting to another 60 minutes. Any ideas on how i can get out of the cycle?

i wish i would've done that...i removed it from the "find my mac' ...very dumb move on my part.

Right now the problem is it won't even let me try to type in a password

I found my MacBook Pro still listed under the "My Devices" section on iCloud.com
