I think you would have to also have Google lens installed. However, It seems it's only available for Android at this time. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
But Google lens is a part of the default functionality of Google photos there is no need for installing a seperate google lens APP ! I mean is it ? Someone correct me !!
Got it. I pulled out my phone to try it. Open Google photos, go to a photo. Tap the odd button to the left of the trash icon.

Next, you get this screen.

Google then examines your photo,

Finally, it tells you about the photo.

Thanks for the step by step description, but my problem is when I go to a photo in Google Photos I do not get the small Google lens icon/option only in the first place besides the Trash Icon that you are talking about !!
This means it’s not available for iPads.
Which is a shame. But I have great faith in Google. Their updates are fast and furious.
We hope so.
But is it really confirmed ? That it is not available for the iPad's ?
I just checked on my iPad and it IS available on my iPad.
Uh ? So what am I missing here ?? Why is it showing not on my iPad ?? is it because of the iOS version 9.3.4 that I have ? But google says all you need is iOS ver 3.xx and you are good to go !! So why is it not showing to me ? on my iPad ??
