I want the best video but using the least amount of hard drive space that i can get but keeping a good quality looking video. What settings do you guys use.
As i ripped my harry potter movie 3 and it was like a 1gig file it was great quality but i need to actually get it around 700 mb

Try using the same settings but change the target file size to 700 MB and see if the quality is good enough for you.

Well i played around with the settings even more and found a sweet spot i like at about 500 mb on the target. I hope tomorrow on black friday to get myself a 1.5tb external harddrive to store the movies for my server. I have as the little 500gig is a little small in my media server i stream everything to my mini but I encode on the mini and my windows machine so i can have 2 machines doing several different disks at once. Question is there away to get handbrake to rip dvds like it does in osx for windows i have vlc and handbrake but hand brake tells me it is a copy protected disk in windows.
