First of all I would just like to say this is my first post. I have been trying to get my iPad 5 to work with Sidecar on my 2019 MacBook Pro, however it doesn't seem to work. I am running the latest update on both of them, and they are both on the same WiFi and iCloud account. Handoff works fine. I've plugged it in and it doesn't work either. According to MacStories, they tested the iPad 5 with it and it worked. So I know this isn't the issue. What do y'all think it could be?

P.S.
Yes, Sidecar does show up in my settings but there are no options in the dropdown menu.

Pickled....had same issues and tried everything...just got off phone with Apple Tech and after almost 2hr. we fixed it...you WILL need AppTech as solution will involve reseting your computers privileges as well some work in Terminal and some password acrobatics. But should work!

They changed the requirements during the beta testing period and now only supports iPads compatible with the Apple Pencil.

The 5th Generation iPad supports Apple Pencil.
Never mind, the 6th Gen is where pencil support starts.
